Simpkin Jr

§ Last week I have been sick, tummy flue !!!! Disgusting !

BUT.... there is always a positive side in everything (^_^)

SHOPPING !!

Obviously on line and thank goodness I had lately recharged my Postepay.

Strolling around the world I found a teapot.

Another one ?! Yes, but this is truly special.

Let me introduce you to Simpkin Junior, he is teeny tiny and adorable.

Simpkin and Simpkin Jr have already become friends but they are so busy reading that conversation languishes ;o)

§ Simpkin Jr è arrivato dall'Olanda e precisamente da Art of Mini.

§ Simpkin Jr has come from Netherland and precisely from Art of Mini.

mille gru - onethousand cranes

§ So Kristel presented me with these beatiful cranes, there are four teeny tiny and one bigger who has flown out of the ic....

The cranes have a special meaning; it's said that if someone will fold 1000 cranes he/she will have one wish made true.

When I was pre teen I read a book on the true story of a little survivor of Hiroshima.

She started folding her cranes on her hospital bed but, als, she did not managed to finsh them....

I'm always moved when I think of sick children, of their sufferings and how, most often, they endure them much more bravely than the grown ups around them.

Well, this was out of theme, doesn't count.

Anyway I wanted to do something with these little wonders.

§ Do you remember that Sans did some mobiles ? I took the idea from her work and Ii built one for the nursery.

The cranes will bring sweet dreams to the lucky little girl who will live in the Casa Rossa.

Thank you very much dearie (^_^)

il cappotto - the duffle coat

§ This will be a mini post similar to the one on the other blog.

The Casa Rossa will be owned by a sailo, may be a captain, and in the entrance hall there will be his coat.

This wonderful mini is the result of a swap between Lisette and me and I truly don't now how to describe it.

Is enough to say that it is really done like the real ones..... only much more beautiful !

§ And now I need Wellington boots and a oilcloth cap .... go to work !

§ Yesterday I received a gift.

An important gift from a dear person, my Granny.

She presented me with a bit of her history and her mother in law's too, my Greatgrandmother to whom this portrait belonged..

She presented me with a child dream because, when I admired it, charmed by its grace, I dreamt it belonged to a princess and I should have never thought of holding it in my hands.

I was touched yesterday opening the little bag which beheld it and once more I asked myself : " Who are you ?".
