Mini mojo is back again

Eccola qui !

La Casa Rossa eternamente in costruzione ma che nei giorni scorsi ha fatto un enorme passo avanti !

Tutti i cornicioni intorno alle finestre saranno decorati in trompe d'oeil, si spera che vengano decenti..., e le persiane finte sembreranno vere. 

Anche qui incrociamo le dita :D

 Here it is !
All the cornices around the windows will be decorated in trompe d'oeil, hopefully they will turn out decently..., and the faux shutters will look like real.
Again I am crossing fingers :D

The small windows are blind ones and the shutters are already made up to be installed

Verde Vittoria - Victory green

§ Il verde Vittoria è un colore speciale, è il colore degli infissi Genovesi.

E' un verde ricco, scuro e si trova in tutte le case di Genova, antiche e moderne.

§ Victory green is a special colour, it's the colour of Genoese window fixtures.

It's a rich, deep green and it's on every Genoese house, either ancient or modern.

§  Le mie persiane non sono ancora di quel colore così caro alla mia città ma lo saranno.
§ My shutters aren't that colour  , which is so close to the heart of my city, yet but they will be.

§  Queste persianine sono il frutto del lavoro di due sere ma soprattutto dell'incoraggiamento affettuoso di una persona speciale che ieri è venuta a trovarmi ed il cui interessamento mi ha spronato a ricominciare il lavoro sulla mia casetta.
§ These small shutters are the result of the work of two evenings but mostly of the warm encouragement of a special person who came yesterday at my home and whose interest has pushed me to start working on my little house again.

 § Le persiane sono di misura assolutamente irregolare così ho dovuto adattare, ritagliandole e sagomandole delle ante acquistate tempo fa.
Si nota poco ma sul davanzale c'è una lastrina di ardesia, mai che manchi questa magica pietra in una casa Zeneise !
§ These shutters are of a absolutely irregular size hence I had to customize and reshape some of those that I bought a while ago.
It's hardly visible but on the window sill there is a pane of ardesia aka black slate, this magical stone cannot be missing in a Genoese house !

§  Eccole le finestrine vestite !
Sono finestre cieche nella casetta mentre nella vita reale erano l'unico punto luce dei bagni e si trovano ancora presenti nella palazzina originale a cui mi ispiro.
§ Here are the dressed windows !
These are blind windows but in real life these were the only source of light in the loos and they are still present in the original small building that is my ispiration

§ Nei prossimi giorni vedrete fiorire decine di ante e chissà, magari troverò anche il coraggio di affrontare il tromp d'oeil !
§ In the next few days you will see tens of shutters bursting up and maybe I shall find the courage to start with the tromp d'oeil !

Il casotto - The roof hut

§ Dopodichè ecco un  altro giorno di lavori alla Casa Rossa :o))
§ After that here is another day of works at the Casa Rossa :o))

§ Oggi abbiamo costruito il casottino sul tetto

§ Today we built up the roof hut

§ Potete vedere  la Casa sullo sfondo . Infatti il tetto è staccabile per facilitare i lavori e soprattutto perchè mi ha permesso di creare un'intercapedine in cui saranno alloggiati i comandi per la luce.
§ You can see the Casa on the background. Actually the roof top is detachable to ease the works and mostly because it allowed me to create a cavity-wall were all the lights switches will find place.

§ Qui potete vedere il pianerottolo in cima alle scale ... non so ancora come farò a costruirla ....

§ Here you can see the landing of the stairs ... I have no idea how to make them yet ....

§ Adesso il casottino ha un tetto

§ Now the hut has a roof

§ Il soffitto avrà dei travi che in questo momento stanno asciugando dopo essere stati mordenzati.
§ The ceiling will have beams which at this moment are drying up after staining.

§  Si potranno vedere a malapena , solo guardando da sotto in sù attraverso la porta ma sono questi dettagli che mi piacciono :o)
§ They will be hardly visible , only looking from down to upwards  through the door but these are the details which I love :o)

§  Dopodomani, festa nazionale , avrò il giorno libero e potrò dipingere i muri esterni
§ The day after tomorrow , National holiday, I shall have a day off work and I shall paint the outer walls.

 § Ed indovinate che ci sarà con me ?

Finestre - Windows

§ Finalmente , dopo tanto tanto tanto tempo sono tornata a lavorare alla Casa Rossa.

Per meglio dire , siamo tornati a lavorare perchè non  potrei fare niente senza l'indispensabile aiuto del mio papà.

§ At last , after a long long long time I went back and worked at the Casa Rossa.

Better said , we came back working because I couldn't do it without the most precious help of my dad.

 

§  Il mese scorso ho ricevuto le finestre che costituiranno gran parte della casetta sul tetto. La casetta, presenza tipica dei tetti Genovesi, servirà come ripostiglio e soprattutto a proteggere il vano scale.
§ Last month I received the windows which will be the bulk of the little hut on the roof top. The hut , typical presence on all Genoa rooftops , will serve as a utility room and primarily as shelter to the stairs.

§  Una doveva essere ridotta in ampiezza per lasciare spazio alla porta d'accesso al terrazzo
§ One had to be reduced in width to let space for the door accessing to the terrace

§ Talvolta ci vogliono le maniere forti !
§ Sometimes you need the strong-arm !

§ Ma si ottiene ciò che si vuole  :o))
§ But you get what you want  :o))
