Ricordi - Memories

(traduco: Mamma è andata a prendere Alessandro).

§  The Lady of the house has a brother.
A little brother as she likes saying although he is now father and the gap between them is only little more than 2 years.
Her first memory of him is the memory of a wait, a happy and a little tense wait at Granny's home.
The little girl kept running up and down the corridor and repeating " Mamma ata ende Ando"
Impossible for me to traduce in proper child slang but something like  :  Mum's gonna take Ando.
At last Alessandro arrived in a straw basket lined in soft blue like a little Mose whom everybody was waiting for.

To celebrate the occurrence and the next birthday of the house "little one" I thought of reproducing the famous  basket. It will be kept in the attic or may be in a cupboard, in the meanwhile the Lady looks at it and smiles.

Rosanna, the basket is lovely! The things of the old world has so much more charm ! I love this basket and will like one even though there's no babies in the house :).

This basket will make any baby look 10 times cuter with him or her in it :)

Rosanna, the basket is lovely. But, I am so mixed up. I know that I'm missing something here. Yet, everybody else seems to understand what you're saying. "The Lady of the house has a brother...although he is now father and the gap between them is only little more than 2 years!?!! Could you please explain to me what you mean. Thank you. I'll be back to see if you have responded.

Hi Lucille, the Lady of the house it's me and I have a little brother. Or rather he used to be little, now he is grown up (as muc as I am) and a father.
But he will always be the house little one and I still call him "fratellino" aka little bro.
I hope I made everything more clear ;o) have a nice day, Rosanna
BTW Who are you ? your profile is not readable and I like to know whom I'm talking to.

Thank you so much Rosanna for responding to me. You're very kind. I don't have a profile but I will set one up soon and a photo to go with it. I promise. You're challenging me. I think that's what I need, to be challenged to do something about my profile. As to whom I am, I'm just another woman who adores miniatures. I'm very, very slowly building a dollhouse. I won't reveal how long ago I started. It's just too long ago. It's actually unbelievable what procrastinators don't do. The house kit I'm working on is called The Apple Blossom. However, I'm bashing it a little. Hope this bit of info is satisfactory. I do not at the moment have a blog. But, perhaps in the future.

You are not the only procrastinator ;o) Have a nice day, Rosanna
