Caminetto

§ Solo una piccola notizia: sarà il caminetto moderno , la mia prima scelta ,  e la famiglia si adeguerà ;o)
A Miniaturitalia ho anche trovato le luci LED perfette per fare la lampada sulla parete !
Devo solo decidere il colore .... terribile, non riesco a focalizzarlo !

§ Just a little piece of news: it will be the modern fireplace, my first choice, and the family will make the best out of it ;o)
At Miniaturitalia I found the perfet strip of LED lights to make the lamp on the wall !
I only have to decide the colour ... it's terrible , I cannot focus it !

§ Continuo a cercare nuovi spunti per arredare la Casa.

Questo sarà il camino del salone al II° piano. Già me lo vedo .....

Sono ancora molto indecisa sul colore della parete , lo vorrei scuro ma non incombente e sicuramente non questo ocra-marronetto.

§ I keep looking for hints to furnish the Casa.

This will be the fireplace in the living room at the II° floor . I already can see it ....

I am still highly indecised on the colour of the wall , I'd like it dark but not incumbent and definitely not this brownish ochre.

§ La certezza è che sulla parete sopra la fiamma ci sarà un grande quadro , la minicopia di quello che è a casa mia e che adoro : L' Incontro di Maria ed Elisabetta.  

§ The only certainty is that on the wall over the flame there will be a big painting , the mini copy of the one hung inmy real house and which I love : The Meeting of Mary and Elisabeth.

§ La gran fortuna è stata quella di trovare il sito di Edilkamin che contiene anche le misure precise per poterlo realizzare più facilmente.

§ The great luck was finding Edilkamin website cointaining the precise misures of it so it will be easier to reproduce.

§ Merylu oggi ha fatto un post speciale. 

Almeno speciale per me.

Io adoro i colori e le palettes , ossia quelle tavolozze in cui i colori si accordano come per magia ad un'immagine.

Sul suo post c'era questo link che ho subito scorso.

L'immagine che più mi ha colpito è stata questa ..... capirete perchè Little India ha fatto breccia nel mio cuore.

§ Today Merylu has done a special post. At least special for me.
I love colours and palettes , aka those collages were colours and images blend as if by magic.
On her post there was this link which I immediately scrolled down.
The picture which most struck me is this one ..... you'll understand why Littl India cut a breach in my heart.

Cucina

§ Ok, ci siamo davvero, sto seriamente progettando la Casa ed ho iniziato dalla cucina.

Nella mia vita vera la cucina è 7.20 mq. Un buco !

Per questo ho voluto che la cucina in miniatura fosse ENORME , avesse tanti contenitori ed un'isola centrale. Insomma tutto quello che non avrò mai in scala 1:1.

§ Ok, here we are. I am seriously projecting the Casa and I begun from the kitchen.

In my real life the kitchen is 7.20 squaremetres. A rabbit hole !

That's why I wanted a HUGE mini kitchen with lots of cabinets and a central island. In short all the things which I'll never have  in 1:1 scale. 

§ Avrà le pareti azzurre ma la nicchia sarà rivestita con piastrelle bianche rettangolari sullo stile della metropolitana di Londra.

Il pavimento sarà bianco, azzurro e nero in stile Art Decò tipico delle case Genovesi ad inizio 1900.

I piani di lavoro saranno nero ardesia.

§ It will have blue walls but the niche will be covered with rectangular white tiles like the ones you find in the Tube.

Thefloor will be white, blue and black Art Decò style typical of Genoan house at he beginning of 1900.

The tops will be black slate.

§ Adesso mi manca solo di iniziare ..... inizio dei lavori ?     6/7 Settembre !!!! troppo eccitata !!!

§ Now I only have to start building ....... date ?  6/7 September !!!!  I am so thrilled !!!

I tessuti che amo - The fabrics I love

§ Tutti voi ormai conoscete la mia insana passione per i mezeri.

Questi teli così belli e versatili che sono stati per decenni parte integrante del costume delle donne Genovesi e che per la loro ricchezza di decorazioni sono sempre stati usati nell'arredamento di case ricche e povere.

Io non ne sono mai sazia, li vorrei ovunque anche se mi accontento di usarli come copriletto.

§ You all known by now my insane passion for the mezeri.
These spreads, so beautiful and versatile, have been used for decades as integral part of the costume of Genoan women and for their wealth of decorations have always been used to decorate house both rich and poor.
I have never enough of them, I'd like to have them everywhere but I'm happy to use them as coverlets.

§ Questo telo è davvero particolare: normalmente nei mezeri è rappresentato un solo albero, l'Albero della Vita, mai due.

Questo deve essere stato disegnato per una coppia di novelli sposi. O almeno così mi piace pensare.

§ This spread is peculiar: usually mezeri have only one tree, the Tree of Life, never two of them.

This must have been designed for a newly wed couple. At least that's what I like to think.

§  Ho trovato queste meravigliose fotografie su un catalogo regalatomi in un negozio di Genova aperto da poco. Il proprietario ne aveva solo due copie ma è stato così gentile da farmene dono.

 § I found these wonderful pics on a catalogue which was presented to me in a newly opened shop in Genoa. The owner only had two copies but very kindly gifted me with one.

Ciao a tutti,

oggi ho passato quasi tutto il giorno in casa .... colpa dell'influenza !

Sono andata in negozio solo per mezz'ora per vedere una cliente e poi mi sono fiondata a casa sotto le coperte.

Adesso ho gli occhi abbastanza aperti per scrivere un post veloce veloce e per farvi vedere i regali che ho ricevuto recentemente.

today I spent nearly all day at home .... due to a flu !

I went to the shop just for half an hour to see a customer and then I run back home to my duvet.

Now my eyes are open enough to write a quick post and to show you the gifts which I lately received.

Oiseau de Nim

La scorsa estate Peiwen mi scrisse per avere notizie sulla cucina Italiana e così ci siamo scambiate delle mail.

Qualche giorno fa mi avvertì che mi sarebbe arrivato un pacchetto da parte sua, non pensavo che sarebbe arrivato un pasto completo :o))

Last summer Peiwen wrote to me to have some information on Italian cooking, hence we exchanged a few mails.

Some days ago she warned me that I should have received a parcel, I didn't think I should have got a whole meal :o))

Pera al forno e conchiglie di cioccolato. C'è una ditta Belga che fa conchiglie proprio come queste.

Oven cooked pear and choco shells. There is a belgan firm which produces shells exactly like these.

Stufato e crema brulee, sono sazia !

What could I do but mezzeri ?

Here they are, well faded as if they had been much exposed to sun rays like in reality. This thanks to the agonizing ink cartridge of my printer ;o)

§ Sto un po' meglio e così mi sono divertita a fare qualcosa che troverà posto nella sala da pranzo della Casa Rossa.

Io adoro i quadri e mi piacciono GRANDI ! possibilmente un tantino esagerati.

Così ho copiato il quadro, vero, di un amico che dipinge con una tecnica incredibile e mi sono regalata la sua Melagrana.

§ I feel a bit better thus I had fun doing something which will have pride of place in the dining room of the Casa Rossa.

I love paintings and I like them BIG ! possibly a little exagerated.

Hence I copied the, real scale, painting of a friend who has an incredible tecnique and I presented myself with his Pomegranate.

Qualcosa di azzurro.... - Something blue.....

§ Adoro l'azzurro !

Non nell'abbigliamento, ho solo una camicia azzurra, ma nell'arredamento penso che questo colore non abbia confronti.

Così ho gironzolato su Google e ho "rubato" un po' di foto per avere nuove ispirazioni per la mia casetta.

§ I love light blue !

Not in clothing, I only own one blue shirt, but coming to decoration I think that this colour has no rivals.

Thus I strolled on Google and "stole" some pics to find new ispiration for my little house.

la scaletta - the ladder

§ Dopo tanta, tanta fatica... è arrivata !

Tanta fatica da parte di Sabiha che ha fatto questa scaletta due volte prima che mi arrivasse.

La colpa non era sua ma delle Poste..... grrr

Comunque ora è qui, pronta per essere collocata nella dispensa.

Io sono bassina ( è un eufemismo, sembro la nanetta di Biancaneve) e uso sempre una scaletta in casa mia per arrivare ai pensili e alle mensole alte perciò non poteva mancare al mio alter ego in miniatura.

Questa è bellissima e io l'adoro.

§ After much, much pain...... at last it has arrived.

Much pain by Sabiha who has done it twice before it could find the way to my home.

It was not her fault but the Mail service.... grrrr

Anyway ow it's here, ready to go to the pantry.

I'm short ( better said that I could be one of Snowhite's dwarves) and I always use a small ladder to reach high hutches ths is why my mini alter ego could not do without one.

This is beautiful and I love it.

lettino rosa - little pink bed

§ Tutto è nato da questa fotografia trovata chissà dove e chissà quando sul web.

Questo letto, con le sue forme morbide e un po' retrò, mi è subito piaciuto.

Francamente non avrei mai pensato di riuscire a replicarlo.

§ Everything begins with this pic found somewhere and sometime on the web.

This bed, with its sotf and old fashioned curves, has immediately become to me.

Truly I should have never thought that I could replicate it.
§ E invece ! mai dire mai. Mi sono ispirata a tutte quelle miniaturiste mani d'oro che ho incontrato nei blog e mi sono lanciata.

§ And instead ! never say never. I was inspired by all those miniaturists with goldenhands whom I met on the blogs and I have buried myself in it.

Se fosse vero sarebbe lungo cm 170, adatto ad una bimba fino ai 10 anni.

If it were real it would be 170 cm long, apt for a little girl up to 10 years old.

§ Ecco qui un altro pezzetto della Casa Rossa: uno scaffalino per la nursery.

Sono partita da un orribile scaffale verde scuro e senza fregi e l'ho personalizzato.

Per ora ci sono solo degli asciugamani, dei libri, dei giocattoli e la.... merenda .

Sto lavorando a delle mensole e alle seggioline.

State in ascolto ;o))

Le casette per gli uccelli e i libri sullo scaffale in basso sono di Mercedes.

La cupcake con la fragola è di Kim Saulter.

La borsina viene da Parigi.

la bottiglietta con la farfalla è un regalo di Kathie.

I libri di Beatrix Potter e il circo li ho fatti io con un kit di Paper Minis.
§ Here is a new bit for the Casa Rossa : a small bookshelf for the nursery.

At the beginning it was an awful dark green hutch with no trims and I customized it.

Up to now there are only some napkins, a few books, some toys and a .... snack ;o))

Now I'm working at shelves and small chairs.

Stay tuned.

The tiny bird houses and the books in the middle shelf are by Mercedes.

The strawberry cupcake is by Kim Saulter.

The paper bag comes from Paris.

The tiny butterfly bottle is a present from Kathie.

The Beatrix Potter's books and the circus pop up have been done by me from a kt by Paper Minis.

colori allegri - merry colours

§ Queste fotografie sono tratte da una delle mie riviste preferite, "Art et Décoration" che è davvero una fonte di ispirazione continua.

Questo sarebbe il mio ideale di stanza: colori allegri, ambiente informale e dettagli classici per ricordarci delle tradizioni.

Purtroppo la mia vera casa è troppo buia per potermi permettere quel color lampone sui muri ma la Casa Rossa ?!

Lei avrà tutta la luce del mondo.
§ I have taken these pics from one of my favourite publications "Art et Décoration" which is really ever inspiring.

This would be my ideal room: merry colours, informal surround and classic details not to loose touch with our traditions.

Unfortunately my real house is far too dark to stand that raspberry colour on the walls but the Casa Rossa ?!

It will have all the light of world.

Il prossimo progetto sarà la bergère per lo studio.

Ho trovato questo meraviglioso schema sul libro di Annelle Ferguson e intendo riprodurlo.

Molto probabilmente userò colori più chiari e luminosi ma voglio assolutamente questo paesaggio sul retro e i garofani sull' imbottitura. Oltretutto la Liguria è famosa per le sue coltivazioni di garofani.

Una gentilissima signora mi fornirà la struttura e non potrò mai ringraziarla a sufficienza.

Non vedo l'ora di cominciare.

the bergère

The next project will the the bergère for the study room.

I have found this marvellous pattern on Annele Ferguson's book and I intend to reproduce it.

Most probably I shall use lighter and brighter colours but I absolutely want the landscape on the back and the carnations on the padding. More over Liguria is famous for its carnations plantations.

A very kind Lady will make the structure for me and I shall never be able to thank her enough.

I really look forward starting it.

libreria - bookcase

§ Io amo i libri, amo i loro colori, il loro odore e il loro aspetto.

Questa sarebbe la mia stanza preferita in una casa vera e sarà realizzata in qualche misura nella Casa Rossa.

Per ora ho solo la poltrona, che mi è arrivata solo da pochi giorni, il cuscino che ho ricamato l'anno scorso e il tappeto che ho trovato in Tunisia.

Primi timidi accenni nella realtà ma tanti sogni nella testa.

§ I love books, their colours, their smell and their look.

This would be my best loved room in a real house and I shall somehow do it in the Casa Rossa.

Up to now I only have the bergere, the pillow which I stitched last year and he carpet which I bought in Tunisia.

First shy hints in reality but so many dreams in my head.

§ The pillow says: "When you lend a book it gets so much offended that it never comes back".
