Cavallucci marini - Sea horses

§ Nuovi arrivi alla Casa Rossa !
Essendo la casa di un marinaio, o comunque di una città costiera, non poteva mancare un pezzetto di mare.
Questa piccola, adorabile cupola è il mio ultimo acquisto fatto presso Shannon che ha un negozio su Etsy.
Ho usato la sua fotografia perchè la mia macchina non riusciva a rendere la perfezione dei due cavallucci marini.
Il mini acquario starà in libreria in bella vista ma per ora è sulla mia scrivania dove posso godermelo tutti i giorni.

§ New arrival at the Casa Rossa!
Being a sailor's house, or at least in a coastal city, a bit of sea couldn't be missed.
This tiny, adorable dome is my last buying at Shannon's shop on Etsy.
I used her pic since my camera didn't give credit to the perfection of the two sea horses.
The mini acquarium will stay in the library but up to now it sits on my desk where I can enjoy it every day.

La Stanza Segreta - The Secret Room

§ SETTE MESI !!
Sette mesi senza scrivere.... che tristezza....
Ma non senza ispirazione.
Infatti qualche tempo fa qualcuno, mi sembra Catherine, aveva mostrato questa magnifica libreria: è stato amore a prima vista! Tanto da decidere che nella Casa Rossa ci sarebbe stata una Stanza Segreta, una libreria !

§ SEVEN MONTHS !!
Seven months without writing.....so sad....
But not without an ispiration.
Sometimes ago somebody, I think it was Catherine, posted this magnificent library: it has been love at first sight! So much to decide that inside the Casa Rossa there will be a Secret Room, a library!

§ Ecco il mio prototipo in cartone da legatoria anche se ho già comprato tutti i listelli di legno per costruirla per bene.

§ This is my prototype in matboard even though I already bought all the wood to build it properly.

§ Sul retro sembrerà una normalissima parete

§ On the back side it will look like a normal wall

§ Ho costruito la porta del mio rifugio :o))

§ Il mio tempo è davvero ridotto ma non potevo non farvi vedere la MIA seggiolina , arrivata proprio oggi dal lontano Illinois.

 § Kris ha fatto un vero gioiello , è BELLISSIMA ! molto più bella di quanto le mie pessime fotografie possano esprimere

§ Perfetta in ogni dettaglio , non mi stanco mai di guardarla e toccarla.

§ Una stanza piccola e raccolta dove assaporare il piacere della lettura e della concentrazione

 § A small and cosy room where you migh savour the pleasure of reading and concentration

§Ovviamente nella Casa Rossa i libri saranno molti, molti, molti di più ...... la stanza avrà le pareti fasciate da scaffali
Ops, ma quanti libri dovrò fare ????

§ Of course in the Casa Rossa the books will be many, many, many more .... the room will have the walls made with shelves
Ops, how many books shall I have to do ???

§ PS il cuscino è ricamato su garza di seta , l disegno è mio e  l'ho fatto l'anno scorso proprio per LEI :o))

§ PS the cushion is stitched on silk gauze, the pattern is mine and I made it last year just for IT :o))

§ Qualche mese fa ho contattato Kris perchè replicasse una sedia speciale per la Libreria
§ Some months ago I got in touch with Kris to commission  her a special chair for the Library

§ Penso che tutti conoscano Kris , il suo blog e la sua straordinaria abilità
§ I suppose that you all know Kris, her blog and her extraordinary ability

§  In più è anche una persona deliziosa con cui è stato un piacere comunicare per decidere i dettagli della seggiolina
§ More over she is a delightful Lady and it as been a great pleasure to chat with her about the details of the little chair

 § Alla fine le ho chiesto se poteva aggiungere delle rotelline e mi ha accontentato facendomi addirittura scegliere la mia preferita
§ At the end I asked her if she could add castors and she was so kind that she even let me choose them

§ Io penso che sia assolutamente adorabile :o))

§ Anche a Kris è piaciuto il modello , tanto che ne ha fatta una per il CDHM e l'ha chiamata ROSANNA'S CHAIR
Sono molto lusingata :o)) e non vedo l'ora di riceverla , ora sta volando verso di me :o)))
§ Kris also liked the model and she made another one for the CDHM and she called it  ROSANNA'S CHAIR
I am very flattered :o)) and I cannot look forward to receiving it, it is now flying to me :o)))
