Scale

§ Sognare costa poco, tanto vale sognare in grande.
Stairs
§ Dreaming is cheap, then dream grand.
These are the stairs from which I took the idea for the going to be Casa Rossa.
The main difference will be in material. Old houses in Genoa have black slate stairs and so it will be.
I have to decide whether doing them in the real thing or in painted wood, much lighter.
My heart says SLATE !

I love the planning stage of building a doll house, there are so many choices, if I have a word of advice...always go with what is 'achievable' and most of all don't waste time on what isn't.
Enjoy....we shall be waiting and watching.

Beautiful staircase! I would not even know where to start if I were to use slate! I wanted to say thank you for your info on the fabric you use for your needlework. I think you are using the gauze material that scares me so much- I just bought some linen smaller than what I have been using so I will work my way down to the gauze. My "out of scale" tea cozy was a present- so I will post after the person gets it:) Thank you Rosanna- you are very dear to help me out♥

A friend of mine always say "dreaming is free, so why not?" :):)

I love to dream big as well, Rosanna, and I think you will make yours come true.

You find the most amazing photos. Love this one as well.

I love these photos, especially the cuving staircase. When you make yours, I hope you will post picturs showing how you build it. I am planning to build my own curving staircase, but haven't quite worked out how I'm going to do it yet. As for which material to use, I say go with your heart!
