Meglio tardi che mai...... Better late than never ......

§ Ok, c'e l'ho fatta !!!!

Ho finito di disegnare i progetti della casa in scala 1:1.

Può essere inutile ma in realtà mi dà la possibilità di giocare con i mobili e di valutare le reali dimensioni delle stanze.

 

 § Ok, I have done it !!!!
I finished to draw the house plans in 1:1 scale.
It  might be useless but actually it gives me the chance of playing with pieces of furniture and evaluate the real dimensions of rooms.

 § Questa è la pianta del quarto piano con le tre camere da letto ed i due bagni. La superficie totale sarà di 90x50 cm e l'altezza sarà 115 cm.

§ This is the fourth floor plan with the three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The total surface will be of 90x50  cms and the height will be 115 cms.

§  Non sarà una casa enorme ma nella mia vera casa ...... tremo già al pensiero di darle una collocazione.

§ It wont be a huge house but in my real one .... my wrists already shake at the thought of finding a place for it.

§  Avrà tante finestre, tanta luce, quella che manca in casa mia :o(

§ It will have lots of windows, lots of light,  which my real house lacks :o(

§ Auguratemi buona fortuna , a fine mese andrò a comprare il legno e poi ..... al lavoro :o)))

§ Wish me good luck , at the end of the month I'll  buy the wood and then ..... work :o)))

Borse, borse ed ancora borse - Bags, bags and more bags

§ Premesso che io NON sono una fashion victim.

Premesso che la borsa rossa che vedete è la mia super amatissima Furla modello "Cappuccetto Rosso va dalla Nonna" e che ha già la bella età di 4 anni ( portati splendidamente vorrei aggiungere ).

Premesso che delle firme non mi interessa niente.

Premesso tutto questo quando , lunedì scorso, sono passata in un negozio di perline non ho potuto fare a meno di comprare 6 borse diverse.

 § Granted that I am NOT a fashion victim.

Granted that the red bag that you see is my bestest loved Furla model " Little Red Riding Hood goes to Granny" and that it is 4 years old ( not that is shows them I may add).

Granted that I don't care a jot of  brands.

Granted all this when, last Monday , I went to a bead shop I couldn't help buying 6 different bags.

 § Sono nate come ciondoli per braccialetti ma è bastato togliere il moschettone ed ecco qua, borse istantanee !!
§ They were born as charms but it has been sufficient to take away the snap-hook and here they are , instant bags.

§  Ce ne sono per tutti i gusti : sportive ed un po' ruggenti, molto anni '80.
§ There are to suit any taste : sporty and roaring, very '80s.

§  E alla fine qualche luccichio per la sera quando tutto è permesso.
§ And also some bling for the evening when everything is allowed.

§ Adesso dovrò cercare delle scarpine che si intonino ad ogni modello ...... ah, la dura vita della shopper compulsiva ;0)
§ Now I shall have to look for shoes matched to each model ....... ah, compulsive shopper's hard life ;o)

La cesta - The basket

 Tutorial veloce veloce per un cesto per neonati.
Quick tut for a children basket.

Per prima cosa procuratevi del canovaccio ed una scatola di fazolletti umidificati.
First get some canvas and a box of wipes.

 Poi fate una soluzione molto carica di acqua e vinavil ed immergetevi un pezzo di canovaccio sufficiente a rivestire il fondo della scatola.

Make a thick solution of water and white glue and soak a piece of canvas  wide enough to cover the bottom of the box.

Lasciatelo asciugare completamente.

Let it dry completely.

Una volta asciutti avrete due gusci.

Once dried you'll have two shells.

 Ritagliate e rifinite i bordi.

Cut and shape the borders.

 Ora preparate il materiale per il materasso e le lenzuola.

Now prepare the material for the matress and the linens.

 Tagliate la stoffa in forma per ricoprire la cesta dal'interno.

Cut the fabric accordingly to the shape of the inside of the basket.






Otterrete una scatola di stoffa.

You'll have a box of fabric.

 Inseritela all'interno del cestino.

Put it inside the little basket.

 Cucite un pizzo intorno al bordo fissandolo al canovaccio.

Sew a trim around the border fixing it to the canvas.

Con 6 fili di canovaccio intrecciate una treccia piatta.

Using 6 threads of canvas make a flat braid.

 Incollate la treccia al cesto.

Glue the braid to the basket.









Nel frattempo cucite un materassino a misura del fondo.

In the meanwhile prepare a mattress shaped like the bottom of the basket.

Aggiungete le decorazioni che più vi piacciono. Divertitevi :o)

Add your favourite decorations . Have fun :o)

Ricordi - Memories

§ La padrona di casa ha un fratello.

Un fratellino come lei ama dire anche se ormai anche lui è padre di famiglia e li dividono solo poco più di due anni

Il primo ricordo di lui è il ricordo di un'attesa, un'attesa felice ed un tantino ansiosa a casa della nonna.

La bambina continuava a ripetere, correndo su e giù per il corridoio, " Mamma ata ende Ando !"

 (traduco: Mamma è andata a prendere Alessandro).

 E finalmente Alessandro arrivò a casa dentro una cesta di paglia foderata d'azzurro come un piccolo Mosè che tutti aspettavano.

Per celebrare l'avvenimento ed il prossimo compleanno del "piccolo" di casa ho pensato di riprodurre la famosa cesta. Sarà riposta in soffitta o chissà, in un ripostiglio, ma per ora la Signora la guarda e sorride.

§  The Lady of the house has a brother.
A little brother as she likes saying although he is now father and the gap between them is only little more than 2 years.
Her first memory of him is the memory of a wait, a happy and a little tense wait at Granny's home.
The little girl kept running up and down the corridor and repeating " Mamma ata ende Ando"
Impossible for me to traduce in proper child slang but something like  :  Mum's gonna take Ando.
At last Alessandro arrived in a straw basket lined in soft blue like a little Mose whom everybody was waiting for.

To celebrate the occurrence and the next birthday of the house "little one" I thought of reproducing the famous  basket. It will be kept in the attic or may be in a cupboard, in the meanwhile the Lady looks at it and smiles.

il frigo rosa ((^_^)) - The pink fridge ((^_^))

 Walter, d'ora in poi nominato come CaroMarito, ha mantenuto il suo impegno ed ieri ha stuccato e verniciato il frigorifero. ROSA !!!!

Walter, from now on named DearHusband, has kept his word and yesterday he has plastered and painted the fridge. PINK !!!!

Ecco la scritta SMEG. Ieri Nyork mi ha chiesto come fare la scritta.

Sylvia l'ha stampata su carta fotografica poi io ho ritagliato le letterine con un bisturi e le ho incollate.

Here is the SMEG logo. Yesterday Nyork asked how to make the letters.

Sylvia printed it on photografic paper then I cut them with a sharp knife and glued them.

 

Oggi poi l'ho riempito con quello che avevo in casa; frutta, verdurine, funghi, latte  e un dolcino.

Today I filled it with what I had at home; fruit, veggies, mushrooms, milk and a dessert.

I porcini sono opera di Loredana, i peperoni farciti sono di Minicaretti, il culatello è di Elisabetta, i cartoni di latte sono di Asuka, le verdure di Terry, la tortina è di Kim

The mushrooms are by Loredana, the suffed peppers by Minicaretti, the cured meat by Elisabetta, the milk cartons by Asuka, the veggies by Terry, the dessert by Kim.

And a prep board for making of strawberries cupcakes. They are by Christel and they have been my first buying on Internet. Cute, aren't they ?!

Domenica a Miniaturitalia mi comprerò un po' di lattuga e dei formaggi :P
Next Sunday at Miniaturitalia I shall buy some lettuce and some cheeses :P

PS Ho dimenticato la borsa della spesa con le rose e la rivista. Quelle le ho fatte io :o)
